YUKO SUMIDA JACKSON

Was born and raised in KUMAMOTO JAPAN.
After her dance training and career in Japan, Europe and NY, She moved to LA.
She was chosen to be the first female dancer for Michael Jackson’s World tour “Dangerous” and worked with him for total of 6 years. She has also worked with other artists such as Prince, Mic Jagger,Paula Abdul, Cher, Babyface and many more. As well as on the runway as a model with designers such as Thierry Mugler and Kansai Yamamoto.

She married George Jackson who was the assistant of Quincy Jones, Richard Pryor and became
A film producer who produced,”New Jack City”,”House Party2,3″ and other. He became the CEO of Motown Records.
He passed away in 2000.
She joined and performed for NY/Brooklyn based “EVIDENCE DANCE COMPANY”. 2000-2001.

Yuko moved back to Japan with her daughter in 2004. Developed and designed a Casual & Active wear brand called “Aryles”. ISETAN did an exclusive premier opening, and the collection was sold at major department stores, as well as select boutiques sitting along side with Stella McCatney x Addidas in the shops in Japan.

She has also developed her own fitness method named” Awakening” and has a successful studio in Tokyo.
Her Books and DVDs caused a buzz , and hit #1 sales on Amazon Japan.
She appeared on many TV shows, Commercials, Magazines,Talk shows and is ” Go to girl” to help assist in the development of dance and fitness products.

in 2010, She became the Chairman for a Nonprofit organization “Japan Street Dance Assosiation” and developed a program
for the Japanese government when dance classes became mandatory in elementary schools.
She was invited to talk and perform on TED x SEED Japan and became an image model for the 50th Annivesary of REVLON Japan,as well as presented by CHRYSLER Japan for their campaign of “An inspirational woman”.
She was also chosen as one of the 100 most internationally successful Japanese entrepreneur for NEWS WEEK Japan.

Yuko has developed her workout sandal “Jackson Walk Jet” for a Japanese company.

She currently is residing in Los Angeles with her Daughter.
